It will take all of us working together to improve the health, well-being, and birth outcomes of Black women and babies in San Diego. This campaign is a tool to help ignite conversations about inequities, systemic racism, and help our health care community ensure the best outcomes for our Black mothers and babies.

To get involved and to help start making a positive impact today:

  • Our Know Your Rights PDF is an inclusive document with standards created to inform, educate and support people in their birthing experiences. By providing this information, we hope that women and their partners, health care providers, and health care systems can take actionable steps to protect pregnant moms, before, during and after pregnancy.

  • Follow and share this campaign on social media or print and distribute posters in your community.
  • Attend a Community Advisory Meeting. See dates of upcoming meetings below.
  • Learn more about how bias impacts our interactions with others, or take part in an anti-racism training and share your learnings with others.
